Gender, form, and etymology
Etymology:
The new genus-group name is a combination of the Ancient Greek trikhos (trῐcό2, genitive of thríx/qrῐ́x, meaning, “hair”), and Labidura Leach, itself a combination of the genitive of the noun labís(lᾰbῐ́2, meaning, “forceps” or “tongs”; genitive labídos/lᾰbῐ́dο2) and the nounoura(οὐrᾱ́, meaning, “tail”).
